Ipswich Borough Council has said they will "handle the mess" as they encourage people to keep the memories of Town's historic promotion.
Thousands of people travelled to the county town on Saturday as the Tractor Boys gained automatic promotion to the Premier League after beating Huddersfield 2-0 at Portman Road.
After the game fans packed the streets of the town centre as the celebrations continued.
As a result, rubbish was left dumped all over the town leaving some residents disappointed.
However, Ipswich Borough Council has said they will sort the mess.
Posting on social media on Saturday evening a spokesman said: "What an amazing day! Keep the memories, we'll hand the mess. Clean up starts tomorrow."
