A tea room in a Suffolk seaside town has applied for permission to sell alcohol on its premises as it seeks to offer more variety for its customers.
Lotty's is seeking East Suffolk Council's approval to supply alcohol on and off its premises in High Road East, Felixstowe between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
In addition, the application also includes the supply of alcohol between 9am and 5pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Lotty's recently closed its sandwich shop in the town's Hamilton Road to focus on developing the High Road East tearoom.
Owner Charlotte Gosling explained the aim of the alcohol application was to enable the tearoom to diversify its offer, such as by enabling customers to have a bottle of prosecco with their meal.
She said: "It is more of a variety for the cafe side than anything. If people would like a bottle of prosecco with their meal."

She added she was not aware of any other similar businesses in the Old Felixstowe area, where the tearoom is based, that offered alcohol.
The tearoom, which has 18 staff, also serves cream teas, coffees and cakes, all-day breakfasts and light bites.
After announcing the decision to close the Hamilton Road shop in February, a post on Lotty's Facebook page said: "Since opening our shop in Old Felixstowe we have been overwhelmed with the support of you all and intend to focus on expanding the shop and tearoom to keep up with demand.
"We pride ourselves with baking all of our cakes and savouries on site and need to have all hands on deck in one location to carry on with this growing success."
