A Woodbridge man has been ordered by magistrates to pay fines and costs of more than £400 after he was caught driving 21mph over the speed limit.
Andrew Edward Frost, 60, of Short Walk in the east Suffolk town, was charged with driving a Mercedes Sprinter van at a speed exceeding 60mph, the legal limit for the vehicle.
The incident took place on the A40 near Nantyci Showground, in Carmarthen in Wales, on August 22 last year.
It was alleged that his speed recorded was 81mph, some 21mph over the 60mph limit.
Frost plead guilty to the charge and the case was dealt with via single justice procedure at Carmarthenshire Magistrates' Court on March 18.
The single justice procedure deals with more minor summary offences that are not heard before a crown court.
Frost was ordered to pay out more than £400 - £230 in fines, a victim surcharge of £92 and costs of £90.
The fines and costs total £412.
His driving record was also endorsed with four points.
