A pub is "trading as usual" despite part of the ceiling being damaged in an incident.
The Ego at Deben Seal in Woodbridge opened its doors on Thursday, April 18 after being transformed into a Mediterranean-style restaurant.
Following the extensive refurbishment, the pub experienced an incident on Friday which saw the ceiling damaged.
A customer who was dining at the restaurant praised the staff for the way they handled the situation.
A statement from James Horler, chief executive of Ego Restaurants, said: "Unfortunately, on Friday, we experienced a small incident that was due to a historic issue and this resulted in part of the ceiling being damaged.
"We have already managed to solve the problem and are trading as usual, with the works to repair the internal damage being carried out very soon.
"We thank everyone in Woodbridge for their ongoing support and look forward to welcoming many new guests in the coming weeks and months ahead."
The statement added the restaurant had already received "lovely feedback" following its opening week.
The pub was previously known as the Duke of York before it was renovated.
