A man and a woman are in hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a crash in west Suffolk.
Emergency services were called to the collision, involving a grey Volkswagen Golf and a white Audi A1, on the A1101 in Icklingham, near Mildenhall, at about 11pm on Monday.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a woman aged in her 30s, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with potentially life-changing injuries.
A man aged in his 20s, who was driving the Audi, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with potentially life-changing injuries.
The road was closed for more than six hours before eventually reopening at about 5.45am on Tuesday.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Suffolk police, quoting reference number 37/22196/24.
