A CCTV image has been released following an assault.

Police are appealing for help to trace a man after responding to a call of another man being attacked in Colchester.

Emergency services were called to Colchester High Street at around 1.30am on  January 14 after a man was attacked.

Police say a man was assaulted by a group of men who kicked and punched him.

An inquiry is ongoing and Essex police have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to.
