A ceramics and coffee shop in a Suffolk market town could start selling ciders and wines during events if a plan before a council is given the green light.
Frankie's of Hadleigh, in High Street, has submitted an alcohol license application to Babergh District Council with the intention to start serving from May 28.
In documents before the council the owner said they intend to install a fridge and sell "small batch ciders and wines".
They continued: "We also host small art exhibitions every couple of months and would like people to be able to purchase the alcohol that may be consumed."
They said exhibitions at Frankie's of Hadleigh have at most 18 people at any one time and run from around 5pm to around 8.30pm.
The application before Babergh District Council requests permission for alcohol on and off premises from 9am to 9pm.
In their statement before the council the owner wrote: "We may do extended opening hours at Christmas time which will include Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. 9am to 9pm on both days."
A public consultation into the plans is running until May 16.
