Stowmarket’s new farmers' market is taking place this weekend.
The market, organised by Stowmarket Town Council, will focus on high-quality food, drink, and handcrafted items sourced from regional producers and artisans.
The event will kick off on Saturday, April 20 in the town centre in collaboration with the Heart of Suffolk Distillery, and will continue on the third Saturday of every month until October.
Molly Watling, event coordinator at Stowmarket Town Council, said she hopes to see people make the journey to the mid Suffolk town for the market.
She said: “We're excited to introduce the much longed for farmers market into the town full of fresh, locally-sourced goods. We hope this is supported by local residents, so join us in celebrating the flavours and traditions of our region.”
A huge variety of food, drink, flowers, and gifts will be on offer from producers including Field of Cheese and Little Pig Bakery which closed its shop in Station Road West in Stowmarket last year.
Beyond food and drink, visitors can also enjoy browsing a selection of candles, jewellery and cosmetics.
