A trial date has been set for a man from Lowestoft who has denied a charge of rape.
Glen Dale, 32, of Normanston Drive, Lowestoft, was before Ipswich Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on Wednesday.
He was charged with controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship between October 1, 2023, to February 24, 2024, causing the complainant to fear on at least two occasions that violence would be used against her.
He was also charged with rape and theft of the complaint’s phone, bank cards and driving licence.
Dale denies all charges and a trial date was fixed for September 9 this year.
The defendant was not granted bail.
