An "underrated" east Suffolk town that is "rapidly gaining cultural and culinary currency" has been named one of the best places to buy a home in the UK.
Halesworth has been included on a list compiled by The Sunday Times as one of the best places to invest and live in the country.
The east Suffolk town is one of the county's hidden gems and is always worth a visit.

The Racehorse, in Westhall near Halesworth, is a popular pub for many and was also named CAMRA's Rural Pub of the Year in 2023.
The town is also home to The Cut theatre.
Describing Halesworth, The Sunday Times said: "Underpromise and overdeliver is a good mantra for life — this market town nine miles from Southwold has taken it to heart.
"Halesworth is rapidly gaining cultural and culinary currency, and the underrated town has England’s largest millennium green, with 50 acres of meadows, woodlands, rivers and ponds, and — a rare boast for deepest Suffolk — a railway station."
According to Rightmove, the average house price in Halesworth is £342,000.
There is also a number of great places to eat in the town - including Cleone's Italian restaurant, the Queen's Head and Fire and Feast.
As well as this there some great places to stay – including the Coach House at Belle Grove just north of the town, which has been included the Guardian's list of the 20 best cosy UK cottages.
The small market town is built upon a Roman settlement and has a number of interesting buildings.
Halesworth has good transport links, with local bus services connecting it to nearby towns including Southwold, Beccles, Bungay, Lowestoft and even as far away as Norwich, as well as the railway station.
Markets take place in the market place every Wednesday from 8am, where there is a selection of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables and bulbs.
