Part of the A14 in west Suffolk was closed after a car and trailer overturned.
National Highways was warning drivers of severe delays on the westbound carriageway between junctions 36 and 37 near Newmarket on Tuesday morning.
In a tweet, a spokesman for National Highways said there was delays of at least 30 minutes in the westbound carriageway between Newmarket and Cambridge due to an overturned car and trailer.
