Plans have been submitted to change a former pub into a convenience store.
Sat on the corner of Crown Street and Regent Street, the former Crown Inn in Stowmarket closed its doors in 2020.
The busy drinking spot and karaoke bar was sold after owner Admiral Taverns decided to sell the building.
In a post on the pub's Facebook page, the landlords said previously: "It is with a heavy heart that we are very sad to announce that unfortunately, the brewery has decided to sell the Crown."

Plans have now been submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council to convert the building into a convenience store.
A supporting planning document said the building is "not considered to be in a position where re-developing the premises as a public house is likely to be a viable proposition" and converting to a convenience store "will create a welcome benefit for local residents, offering a service for general food and household supplies".
The plans also include the construction of a single storey extension and keep the residential flat on the second floor.
