A new shop is preparing to open in a former Shoe Zone store in a mid Suffolk town.
The budget shoe shop in Stowmarket's Ipswich Street closed its doors to customers in November 2022 and plans were submitted for a betting shop to open in its place.
It has now been announced Mind is taking over the building to open a new charity shop in a co-investment with Suffolk Mind.

Kelly Law, regional manager at Mind, said: "We are so looking forward to welcoming the people of Stowmarket to this new Mind shop.
"There are very easy ways that everybody can get involved, including donating quality items to help us open with plenty of wonderful stock. I would urge locals to visit the shop once we're open or get in touch to find out more about how they can support us."
Elsewhere in Suffolk, the charity is opening a new shop alongside Suffolk Mind in Woodbridge on Wednesday, April 3.
It is hoped the new shop in Stowmarket will open at a later date in April.
