CPower Energy, a Colchester-based service and consultancy provider for the renewables sector, has announced a partnership with Danish machining specialist CNC Onsite.
Founded in 2016, CPower Energy is deeply routed in the offshore wind sector.
The company delivers turnkey solutions and services to the industry, as well as supplying technically competent and experienced personnel to a wide variety of projects.
CNC Onsite has developed high-precision machining tools specifically designed to carry out up-tower repairs such as broken bolts/threads, yaw ring teeth and rotor lock repairs.
The partnership with CPower means CNC Onsite can now launch its up-tower repair service to the UK.
Both companies are focused on driving efficiency, improving safety, reducing costs and improving turbine availability with both planned and emergency maintenance techniques.
“I am very excited about the future of this collaboration," said Peter Jorgensen, managing director of CPower.
"With our skills and CNC’s exceptional machining tools, I can see a real saving in so many ways for the maintenance of the UK’s onshore and offshore wind turbine fleet”.
“CPower and the people behind it have a long track record in the UK wind industry," added Soren Kellenberger, sales director and partner at CNC Onsite.
"With their knowledge about the market and their skilled employees, I have a very good feeling that we will have a successful cooperation when we combine this with our specialised solutions for onsite machining.”
