An historic former RAF control tower will be opening soon for the spring and summer season, providing the chance to explore the airfield which operated during two world wars.
Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum will be opening on Sunday April 7 and will continue to welcome visitors every Sunday until October 27 between 2pm and 4.30pm.
Guests will be able to explore the history of the military facility, which opened in 1917 and served as a fighter station during the Second World War when British and American fighters operated from the base.

The airfield was also used for aircraft testing and the site's history includes the story of extensive aeronautical research (civilian and military) done on aircraft between the wars and afterwards up to 1963, along with armament research.
Entry is free and there is the possibility of pre-booked visits by schools and groups.
To pre-book, either call 07707 711104 or email mhasmuseum@mhas.org.uk.
