Community nurse and deer farmer Helen Nottage will showcase her pottery passion in an upcoming Bell Gallery exhibit.

Despite a busy schedule, Ms Nottage has put together a collection of handmade pottery tableware, set to be on display in Earsham Street, Bungay, from March 5, running for four weeks.

She said: "I’ve worked for the NHS since beginning my training in 1969.

"And over the last 50 years I have also farmed, milking our Holstein cows and showing them successfully too."

Helen added a herd of deer and a flock of sheep to her farm as well as free range chickens.

A few years ago the nurse decided to rekindle her love and passion for pottery.

Her work ranges from platters, bowls, and vases, to jugs and mugs.

She said: "My aim is to produce handmade pottery for everyday use that will enhance the food enjoyed around your dinner table."

She now hosts workshops at her farm's studio, where attendees of all ages can learn new crafts, nurture their skills and improve their mental wellbeing.
