The star of a hit BBC One show was spotted grabbing lunch at a Suffolk deli.
Danny John-Jules, who is well-known for his roles in Death in Paradise and Red Dwarf, visited Mill Street Store & Deli in Nayland, near Sudbury, on Friday.
Owners of the deli said the actor, who played Officer Dwayne Myers and appeared in 57 episodes of Death in Paradise before he left the show in 2021, took time to have chat with them.
They said they are massive Death in Paradise and Red Dwarf fans and were "really pleased" that he spoke to them after his meal.
John-Jules already has some links to Suffolk – his nephew is Tyreece John-Jules, who played for Ipswich Town on loan from Arsenal in the Blues' promotion-winning campaign last year.
The village deli where the TV star visited was first opened in 2022 by Jade and Ross Elsworth.
The couple opened it with the hope it of becoming a real part of the community following the closure of the village's butcher Kerridge's earlier that year.
