A hole was cut into the door of a van as tools were stolen amid a spate of thefts.
Police are urging van owners and tradesmen to be vigilant after several break-ins in Sudbury and Haverhill.
A grey Mercedes Vito van was broken into when someone cut a hole near the rear handle of the vehicle that was parked in Queens Road in Sudbury at about 10pm on Thursday, February 8.
In a second incident, a white Ford Transit van was broken into in Haverhill between 5pm on Thursday, February 15 and 11pm on Friday, February 16.
Tools were stolen from the van, which had been parked up in various locations in the west Suffolk town.
On Tuesday, February 20 at about 9.50pm a hole was cut into the rear door of a white Vauxhall Vivaro van parked in Shetland Road in Haverhill.
Various items were stolen after the van was broken into.
There were eight incidents of a similar nature in the west of the county between January 5 and February 10, all taking place overnight, with drills being used to gain entry in at least two of these incidents.
