An emergency road closure which is taking drivers on a 28-mile diversion near a Suffolk town has been extended.
Bures Road in Great Cornard, near Sudbury, has been closed since Monday, February 12.
The official diversion route for the closure on Suffolk County Council's website is 28 miles long.
The road was expected to reopen on Tuesday – however, the emergency closure has been extended for two more days.
Bures Road is now expected to reopen on Friday.
While the road is closed Cadent is carrying out essential repair works in the area.
