Brighter weather and sunny spells are forecast for Suffolk next week after days of unsettled weather has left parts of the county flooded. 

On Thursday the county was under a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and strong winds. 

A warning was also issued until 4pm for tornados and cyclones. 

What will the weather be like in Suffolk this weekend?

According to The Met Office drier and sunnier spells of weather is forecast for Suffolk with temperatures reaching about 9C.

Saturday

The day will start with some mist and fog patches that will clear through the morning leaving a largely dry and bright day with sunny spells. 

There is chance of rain in the afternoon but this should be fairly light.

Sunday

Once again brighter spells are expected throughout the day. 

Into the afternoon winds will strengthen and clouds will thicken from the west in the evening. 

There is a chance of outbreaks of rain in the south of the county. 

Monday

Monday will start with clouds, possible rain and the chance of coastal gales. 

The clouds and rain will slowly clear to the east leaving brighter spells in the evening.

Tuesday

It is forecast to be a much drier day with sunny spells and lighter winds. 

The Met Office said there is a chance of light rain overnight. 

Wednesday to Friday

The final three days next week are expected to be cloudy and largely dry with some light rain at times. 

It will be breezy with temperatures around average for the time of year.
