A Suffolk bus company employee who recorded someone doing a private act has been sentenced in court.

Tobias Hails, of Cotton Road, Mendlesham, stood before Suffolk Magistrates' Court in Ipswich on Friday where he was handed a community order.

The 35-year-old was convicted of voyeurism after, on August 7, 2023, at Galloway European bus company in Mendlesham, he recorded another person doing a private act with the intention that he would, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, look at an image of that other person doing the act, knowing that the other person did not consent to him recording the act with that intention.

A Suffolk police spokesperson confirmed Hails was an employee at Galloway European at the time of the offence.

He was also banned from working with children or vulnerable adults, his camera was forfeited and destroyed, and he was told he had to pay compensation of £500.
