Part of the A140 will be closed overnight.
Suffolk Highways has announced that the A140 will be closed at Thwaite from 9pm on Thursday evening.
The emergency blockage will allow teams time to clear surface water flooding.
The road will be reopened by 4am on Friday morning at the latest, Suffolk Highways said.
