The Orwell Bridge south of Ipswich will stay open amid a tornado warning which warns of winds as strong as 60mph.
It comes after The Met Office issued two yellow weather warnings for heavy rain and stormy weather across the county on Thursday.
The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (TORRO) has said that there might be tornados and cyclones across Suffolk and other southern parts of the UK.

National Highways has announced the A14 Orwell Bridge will remain open on Thursday afternoon, despite the weather warnings.
A spokesman for the authority said: "There are no plans [to close the bridge] at the moment.
"Extra teams from National Highways and its contractors are on standby to clear debris and unblock drains as a band of strong wind and rain is set to sweep across the region."
Drivers are being advised to check before they travel and allow additional times for their journeys.
