A wedding venue in Suffolk has been crowned as one of the best in the UK after winning a national award.
The owners of Smeetham Hall Barn in Sudbury are delighted to have earned acclaim at this year's annual Hitched Wedding Awards.
Hitched.co.uk, part of The Know Worldwide, is a leading wedding planning platform, with 23,000 wedding vendors registered on the site, who have all been in the running to win the award.
It is the Sudbury venue however which came away as victors in the Wedding Venues category, making them one of the most recommended by newlyweds.
The awards are based on reviews left by married couples in the past year.
Smeetham Hall Barn received a total of 400 reviews on their online storefront on Hitched.co.uk and they received a rating of 5.0 out of 5.
The venue will now be listed on the website with the award next to their name, serving as a marker for those looking to book a wedding that they are award-winning.
Victoria and Tom Hyde Parker, owners of Smeetham Hall and Smeetham Hall Barn, said: "We were delighted to have won another award from such a prestigious wedding platform.
"Smeetham Hall Barn is a very established and well-regarded venue with over 20 years in the industry.

Jose Melo, vice president of international sales at The Knot Worldwide, said:"Weddings always require a huge amount of work, attention to detail and dedication, and our winners have delivered that and more to their couples.
"We’re proud at Hitched to celebrate vendors who go above and beyond, and are helping to make wedding days across the world be unforgettable and special to those who attend."
