One of Suffolk's most prominent chefs has been interviewed by a prestigious national food guide, helping to cement the county's reputation as one of the best in the UK.
James Carn, head chef at Lark in Bury St Edmunds, was named the Good Food Guide's 'Chef to Watch' at a lavish ceremony held in London at the end of January.
The Guide has now released an interview with Mr Carn, in which he discusses the gravity of his recent award win.
"It was surreal to be shortlisted for two awards by a guide that we as a team hold in such high regard.
"To be awarded 'chef to watch' was a huge honour, being up against chefs that I look up to."
The chef also shouted about the breadth of Suffolk produce and suppliers.
"We have some amazing produce in Suffolk as well as a lovely coastline.
"Bury St Edmunds is a quaint market town and we are lucky to be based here."
Mr Carn mentioned several Suffolk businesses in his interview, including Michelin-starred Pea Porridge and head chef Justin Sharp, Butley Orford Oysterage, and Lavenham Butchers.
