A rapidly-expanding Suffolk bakery chain is set to open its latest café as it takes over a former bank building.
The Two Magpies Bakery, which already has sites in Southwold, Aldeburgh and Woodbridge, is now set to open a new branch in Framlingham.
The new café will be located in the former Barclays bank in the town centre, which has been left empty after the branch closed down in August last year.
Posting on social media, the owners said: "Not so much a secret as the words been out before we even looked at it but a healthy amount of peer (customer) pressure and a few site visits and we thought why not?
"Today the builders got the keys and started on some works on behalf of the landlord. It was previously the old Barclays bank which is absolutely incredible but as you could imagine, a huge amount of work required before we even get onto our part."
The owners have said they are hoping to have the new site open by the Easter weekend.
