An east Suffolk pub has closed its doors while it undergoes a six-figure refurbishment.
The Red Lion in Martlesham was granted planning permission from East Suffolk Council in November to make a number of alterations to the premises.
The pub has now temporarily shut while the major renovations, which are described as a six-figure investment by a spokesman, are carried out.
Plans for the premises include internal refurbishments, replacing external doors and windows and new cladding.
New signs will be put up, while the rear patio will also be extended.
The pub is expected to reopen its doors in March.
