Part of the A14 is closed after heavy rain caused flooding across Suffolk. 

National Highways East said the road is closed eastbound between J56 for Beyton and J49 for Tot Hill. 

A diversion route is in place until the road is cleared: 

  •  Exit the A14 at J43 and take the first exit onto the A143 towards Ixworth

  • Continue on the A143 to the roundabout with the A140 in Scole

  • At the roundabout take the third exit and continue on the A140 to Little Stonham

  • Rejoin the A14 eastbound at J51

It is unknown when the A14 will reopen.
