A person has been taken to hospital with "traumatic injuries" following an accident on a building site.
Firefighters and ambulance crews were alerted to the incident, in Sudbury's Acton Lane, at about 9.55am on Friday.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said a person has had an accident while working on scaffolding.
"We were called at 9.30am with reports of a man with traumatic injuries in Acton Lane, Chilton," said a spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said.
"The patient was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further care."
Firefighters were called to help bring the person down.
Appliances from Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds attended the scene.
A Taylor WImpey spokesperson said: "A worker on our site in Sudbury was taken to hospital earlier today after sustaining an injury on site.
"Health and safety is our priority and we will be carrying out a full investigation. We will fully support the worker as they recover and return to work."
