One of Suffolk's most iconic landmarks has been named among the best in the UK.
Framlingham Castle in the heart of the Suffolk market town has been featured in Countryfile Magazine's list of the UK's top 10 most romantic ruins.
The locations chosen by the national magazine promise "enchanting tales and timeless beauty" which makes them perfect for a romantic escape.

"Framlingham Castle's baker's dozen of stone towers stands as a testament to love and historical significance," reads the article.
"Uncover the castle's role in Mary Tudor's ascent to the throne and marvel at the impressive curtain wall and iconic Tudor chimneys."
The article goes on to recommend a walk around the top of the castle's walls, where panoramic views of the Suffolk countryside can be enjoyed, and a romantic night's stay at The Crown in the market square.
