A new café in Yoxford has celebrated an "amazing" first few days open.

The Ox Café opened its doors for the first time on Thursday, February 1, after weeks of growing anticipation.

The café is situated at The Yoxford Antiques Centre, a stone's throw from the A12.

The business has now celebrated a "flying" start.

"One week in and we’re flying," read a post from the team on social media.

"Thank you to all of you that have helped to make The Ox Café both suppliers and friends and family that have given your time.

"It’s amazing to receive such positive feedback."

This comes after the café received a five-star hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency last Wednesday.

The Ox Café prides itself on serving the most local and fresh ingredients: bread from Harvey and Co in Rendlesham, Waveney Valley honey and coffee from Rumour Coffee Co in Beccles.

The dog-friendly café is closed on Tuesdays, the same as the Yoxford Antiques Centre.
