Planning permission has been granted to install a new 3G pitch at the home of one of Suffolk's football clubs.
The construction of a new 3G football turf pitch will begin soon at the MEL Group Stadium, the home of AFC Sudbury.
The pitch will go next to the main stadium.
Planning officers said the development will have "significant community impacts".
As well as the new pitch, floodlights will be built, along with 4.5-metre high fencing, hard standings, a storage container and infrastructure.
The conclusion from the officer delegated report, stated: "The development will have significant community benefits, allowing greater use of the second pitch at AFC Sudbury which will support the long-term viability of an important community organisation."
Concerns were raised over the land contamination element of having rubber crumbs in the area, but the concerns were addressed by stating that the area is within the football club which is separate from the surrounding countryside.
Babergh District Council planning committee granted permission.
