Police have announced patrols in a Suffolk village after reports a woman was attacked from behind by a man before he attempted to sexually assault her.
Suffolk police is appealing for information after reports of the attempted sexual assault, which took place in Wash Lane in Witnesham between 5pm and 6.15pm on Saturday.
The victim reported being attacked from behind by a man.
It is alleged the man then attempted to sexually assault her before she fled and informed the police.
The man is described as white, tall, wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and thin gloves.
Patrols are now being carried out in the area, while the victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone in the area between Wash Lane and Burwash between 4pm and 6.30pm.
Anyone driving in Wash Lane, Burwash, America Hill or the surrounding area in the times given is asked to review any dash cam footage they may have.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk police quoting crime reference 37/7847/24.
