A new cafe has opened in a Suffolk seaside town following a ribbon cutting by the town's Mayor.
Felixstowe Mayor Seamus Bennett was on hand to open the new branch of Cookie Barista in the former Felixstowe Mobility Centre premises in Hamilton Road on Friday.
The cafe is the third store opened by business owner Ben Stamp, having first opened a cafe in Carr Street in Ipswich in June 2021 before opening a second branch in St John's Street in Bury St Edmunds a year ago.

In January, Mr Stamp told the EADT his business specialised in cookies, coffee and bubble tea.
He said the size of the unit would enable his business to offer an expanded range of products, including toasties and pastries, while he said the cafe would be one of the first in Felixstowe town centre to offer bubble tea.

The drink originated in Taiwan and consists of tea accompanied by chewy tapioca balls, although other toppings can be used, including grass jelly, aloe vera, red bean and popping boba.
He added: "We started just after lockdown (during the COVID-19 pandemic) operating small businesses and just under a year ago we opened in Bury St Edmunds down St John's Street, a lovely cobbled street.

"Then we had the opportunity with the shop in Felixstowe, which will be our largest shop of three and will give us scope to do a lot more as well."
Of the bubble tea, Mr Stamp said the offering was 'unique,' adding: "Being in the high street in Felixstowe, there is nowhere you can get that from."
