A man was knocked unconscious after being assaulted in a Suffolk town centre.
The attack happened at about 10.10pm on Saturday outside the White Horse in North Street, Sudbury.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the victim was grabbed round the throat by one suspect before another man pushed him to the ground, punched him in the head several times and then kicked and stamped on his head.
The victim briefly lost consciousness and suffered a broken nose and was taken to hospital.
The three suspects fled the scene.
The suspect who grabbed the victim is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5ft 6in tall, with dark hair and wearing a black tracksuit with a white stripe, black trainers and glasses.
The man who punched and stamped on the victim is described as white in his 20s and around 5ft 6in tall. He was believed to be wearing a grey Nike tracksuit.
The third suspect was a white male in his 20s, about 5ft 10in tall with dark hair, wearing a white baseball cap, white t-shirt and black gilet.
