A main road in a Suffolk town has been closed until the end of the month to enable repairs to be carried out to a bridge that collapsed during Storm Babet.
Fairfield Road in Framlingham was closed on Tuesday and will remain shut until February 23 to allow for repairs to a sewer that ran through the bridge at The Grange.
The bridge collapsed during the storm, which brought heavy downpours to the area on October 20 and flooded roads and homes in the town.

The brick bridge ran from the driveway of four properties, known as The Grange and crossed the River Ore on to public land.
Engineers from water company Anglian Water, which is carrying out the work, are re-routing the sewer, which served their properties, away from the bridge and into the road to prevent a repeat of the incident.
An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “We apologise in advance for the disruption caused to road users on Fairfield Road in Framlingham as we plan to close the road until 23rd February to enable our teams to repair a sewer pipe which was damaged after a bridge collapsed during Storm Babet.

“We understand how frustrating roadworks can be and like to thank customers and road users for baring with us while we complete this essential repair work.”
More than 70 homes in the town were inundated with brown water during the storm, while cars in Elms car park became submerged in water and Framlingham Methodist Church was also affected.
The ground floor of the retirement housing complex Elms Housing Care was also flooded, resulting in the 20 residents being evacuated.
