A family-run hotel in east Suffolk has been given the go ahead to make improvements, including creating more bedrooms and extending the kitchen.
The White Horse Hotel in Station Road in Leiston has been granted permission to convert a barn into bedrooms and extend the kitchen and first floor.
East Suffolk Council granted permission to also allow alterations to Landor House to form annex bedrooms and external alterations to improve parking provision on site.
The hotel, which currently has 13 rooms at first and second-floor levels, will now be extended to offer seven new standard double/twin bedrooms and two accessible rooms.
Six bedrooms will also be created in Landor House with a further accessible ground floor bedroom.
Parking is also to be expanded, with 20 off-street parking spaces.
Before development can begin, details need to be submitted to show replacement escape access and stairs, hard surfacing, exterior lighting and details of the proposed reinstated frontage brick wall.
