It wasn't easy for Ms Lawson to get hold of the malt loaf, and was sent a few loaves by a Suffolk-based food columnist friend.

Ms Lawson first tried the loaf several years ago and has been thinking about it ever since.

Wooster's responded to the shout-out by approving of the chef's butter-to-bread ratio.

The bakery is open from Wednesday to Sunday weekly and can be found at markets around the county.
