Suffolk could see more snowfall in February as the Met Office warns of "impactful weather" on the horizon. 

Parts of the county could see snowfall as early as the start of the month, according to weather forecaster WX Charts. 

It comes after the county saw flurries of snowfall earlier in January during a cold snap. 

A statement on the Met Office website reads: "Through the middle of February, changeable conditions are most likely with the wettest and windiest conditions in the north and northwest.

"It is likely to be drier further southeast, although some wet and windy spells are still possible here.

"Later in the month there is an increasing likelihood of winds from the north or east, which will increase the chance of some colder spells and perhaps snow."

The Met Office is warning of more "impactful weather" in the future as more named storms hit the country. 

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "There remains a chance of further impactful weather as we move through meteorological winter and into spring."

If snow does hit the county, the advice is to avoid travelling unless necessary and to drive slower, in lower gears. 

In cold conditions like these, the elderly and people with underlying health conditions have been urged to keep their heating on to at least 18C, while people are being advised to stay warm and look out for those who are most vulnerable in cold conditions.
