A Suffolk coaching inn has been named among the best hotels in Europe by a national newspaper.
The Bildeston Crown has been included in a list compiled by The Times ranking the best three-star hotels in Europe.
The 15th century former coaching inn, which is located in the heart of the Suffolk village, also has a very popular restaurant which has retained its three AA Rosettes since 2008 - an accolade few can boast.
According to The Times, The Bildeston Crown has a "wonky-beamed charm".
The report added: "On the high street, the mustard-hued Crown matches its three AA stars with three AA rosettes for its food — dishes might include mussels with rose harissa and fennel and pheasant Kyiv.
"It’s part of the Nedging Hall Estate and most of the vegetables served come from the land that surrounds the village.
"The beer is equally local; barley is grown on the estate and sent to Mauldons Brewery, Suffolk’s oldest, before heading behind the bar to reward punters after their Constable’n’churches adventures."
