A serious amber cold weather alert for Suffolk has been extended.
People in the county have been feeling the full effects of a cold snap, with temperatures dropping below freezing.
The UK Health Security Agency issued an amber cold-health alert on Tuesday, warning people to take care in the ice-cold conditions.
It had been due to expire at midday on Thursday, however this has now been extended.
The new alert will expire at 12pm on Friday.
Colder temperatures are set to linger across Suffolk until Sunday, when warmer weather will arrive.
