A spokeswoman for the supermarket said: "These rumours aren't accurate. We do, however, have Mildenhall listed in our Site Requirements brochure.
"The locations listed within the brochure simply indicate areas of interest, so while we're keen to bring a new store to the area, we don't currently have any firm plans."
The national site requirements for a Lidl store include "prominent locations with easy access and strong pedestrian or traffic flow" in town centres or on the edge of retail parks.
