Two people have been taken to hospital for further treatment following a crash on a west Suffolk road this morning.
Suffolk police, fire crews and the ambulance service - including an air ambulance - were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the A143 in Stradishall, between Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds, at about 8.20am on Tuesday.
A road closure was put in place while the emergency services were at the scene.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
"Two patients, the drivers of the vehicles, were transported by road to hospital, with one being conveyed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the other to West Suffolk Hospital."
A spokesman for Suffolk police said that the injuries suffered are not considered life-changing or life-threatening at the moment.
Emergency services remain at the scene but the road was reopened to traffic at 10.55am.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Suffolk police, quoting reference CAD 51 of January 16.
