A 42-year-old Suffolk man who was arrested after a fatal stabbing in Sutton Heath last year has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Jay Cotterill, 42, of Ipswich Avenue in Sutton Heath is charged with murdering 37-year-old Richard Hunt after he was stabbed to death outside a property in the village on October 8.
He has also been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in connection with an assault on a woman which is also said to have happened on the same night but Cotterill also denies this charge.
Judge Martyn Levett has scheduled the trial to begin on May 13, lasting three weeks.
