A body has been named by police following a search for a missing woman from Mildenhall.
Suffolk police confirmed a body was found by search teams in an area north of Brandon Road in the west Suffolk town shortly after 12pm on Wednesday, January 3.
Pending formal coroner’s inquest proceedings, the woman's body has been provisionally identified as Erin Hunnisett, aged 38, from Mildenhall.
Ms Hunnisett had last been seen in Brandon Road in Mildenhall at about 8.40am on Sunday, December 31.
Suffolk police issued an appeal to the public for CCTV on Tuesday, January 2, after she had been missing for several days.
After further extensive searches and with help from Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue, a body was found on the afternoon of January 3.
Police are not treating the death as suspicious and there are no indications of any third-party involvement.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Ms Hunnisett’s death and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
