After a week of heavy rainfall, a cold-health alert has been issued for Suffolk.
The UK Health Security Agency has put in place the alert across the whole country, including in Suffolk, with temperatures expected to drop this weekend.
The alert is set to be in force between 9am on Saturday and 12pm on Tuesday, January 9.
Colder temperatures are set to hit Suffolk from the weekend, with overnight temperatures set to hit as low as -4C on Monday evening.
A spokesman for the UK Health Security Agency said: "Temperatures are likely to be a few degrees below average across much of the UK, especially overnight, with much more overnight frost than of late.
"Ice is likely to be an issue for many given the very wet ground in most areas."
