There was severe delays on the A14 in mid Suffolk after a lorry crashed into the central reservation.
Police were called to the crash on the eastbound carriageway near Stowmarket at about 4am on Friday.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police confirmed that one lane of the westbound carriageway was closed.
A lane closure was also put in place on the eastbound carriageway, but that has since been lifted.
It comes after the A11 was closed for six hours near Barton Mills following a serious crash overnight.
Drivers are being warned to take extra care on the road as a number of routes have become flooded during heavy rainfall overnight.
