Hundreds of homes across Suffolk were left without power as strong winds and rain battered the region.
At least 500 homes in Woodbridge near Ipswich were without power after the storm caused issues with overhead electricity lines.
UK Power Networks were investigating the problem with an expected resolution time of 9.30pm on Thursday.
South-west of Ipswich over 150 homes were also experiencing power outages for similar reasons.
