There were more than 120 fallen trees and 40 flood sites as Suffolk was battered by Storm Henk, it has emerged.

The storm hit the county on Tuesday with strong winds up to 70mph in some areas. 

Another yellow weather warning has been issued for rain which is expected to last until 3am on Friday.

Suffolk Highways, which has dealt with the incidents of fallen trees and flooded roads, said: "We are continuing recovery efforts today, whilst preparing teams to deal with more heavy rain forecast.

"To enable our teams to be as productive as possible, we'll be leaving flood boards out at locations where we have placed these during Storm Henk.

"This will allow us to assess other locations in Suffolk and deal with any emerging issues."

Seven flood alerts remain in place from the Environment Agency including the Rivers Box and Brett, and the Rivers Deben and Lark. 

The Met Office has warned that the rain may lead to further flooding and travel disruption.
