A date has been set for the trial of a Suffolk police inspector who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman.
Kevin Horton, an inspector with Suffolk police, appeared for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday.
The 54-year-old, of Lower Street in Stanstead, near Sudbury, had previously denied one count of sexually assaulting a woman at a hearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court on November 24 last year.
The alleged offence is said to have happened in August 2022.
Horton has previously served as local policing commander for Sudbury.
He has been suspended from Suffolk police in the wake of the charge, a spokesman for the force had previously confirmed.
A date for a trial at Norwich Crown Court has been set for February 24, 2025.
The trial is expected to last five days.
Horton is on bail.
